After you enjoy the story, please gather the following supplies:
- at least one sharp pencil
- your nature journal (turn to a white page)
- crayons
- a fine tip black marker (only if you want to outline your drawing)

- When you have your supplies ready, click on the video below. We are going to draw some wonderful birds today.
- Remember that you can always stop the video and rewind it if you need to see the directions again.
- You are welcome to make your birds realistic like a robin or a sparrow OR you may create colorful imaginary birds in your nature journal. Feel free to make more than one bird on your page!
- When you are done with your bird creations, take a picture and send your picture to [email protected] - please remember to put your name, grade and room number in the subject line

Don't Bug Me!
This week's lesson is about the wonderful variety of insects found in nature! Start the lesson by viewing My Awesome Summer by P.Mantis (really by Paul Meisel). Click on the box below to view the story. When you are done, take out a sharpened pencil, crayons and white paper.
