Expository Writing

LEGO Expository Writing
​Expository writing is EXPLAINING how to do something.

​Part 1
  1. ​You will receive a Lego kit with about a dozen blocks in it.
  2. Build a figure or a model. Use every brick in your kit.
  3. ​Write detailed directions for the model as you build.
  4. Make sure your directions include the number of your kit.
  5. ​When your model is complete, take a photo of it.
  6. ​BE SURE to include your name plate in the photo.
  7. ​Now dismantle the figure and put the bricks back in the correct bag.
  8. Give the kit and directions to Mrs. Witry.
​PART  2
  1. Now you will be give someone else's instruction and their kit.
  2. ​Build their model according to their exact instructions.
  3. ​Go to the author of the instructions and match your model to their photo.
  4. Take a picture of the photo and your model WITH name plate in the photo.
​I can't wait to see if they match!
